According to the report of El Mundo, the deal was signed in 2017 by Messi which is the largest deal in the history of at least football. The newspaper said that the instant deal was a colossal contract which ruined Barcelona.

The report went on to claim that Messi already earned 511,290,052 euros making almost 92 per cent of the possible total.
The report further added that Messi earned 115 million euros just for signing the contract in 2017. It added that the player’s potential bonuses were a 3,548,644 euro reward for winning the Champions League and 2,365,766 euros for winning La Liga.
It is learnt that in coming months Messi would decide whether he would stay at Barcelona or leave the club. He had joined the club as a 13-year-old player and became the greatest player of all the time.
